Trainers! Data miners on Reddit recently revealed something exciting: it appears that sprites for a dozen or more new Pokémon, including several long-time fan favorites, have been uncovered. This find includes some really fascinating Pokémon including as Aegislash, Necrozma, Marshadow, Mega Mewtwo X and Y, all the missing Mega Pokémon, Dialga and Palkia Origin forms, and even Hisuian beginning final evolution forms.
We’ve included all of the photographs we discovered below, but please read our data mining report first:
💡 Disclaimer: You’ve heard the story before. Please take everything with a grain of salt – we frequently submit data mining reports that take months to complete, and we don’t want our readers to be disappointed. Be wise, view this as speculative, and rejoice when it goes live. Niantic does not endorse any of this. It is based on publicly available data and should be considered speculative.
Holiday and GO Fest 2024 costumes
Right away, we can see that additional Pikachu costumes have been uncovered, including GO Tour 2024 and Holiday 2023 varieties. This comes as no surprise given that Niantic has previously stated that GO Fest will return in 2024, and we usually receive a special Pikachu over the winter holidays. The inclusion of Santa Psyduck and Golduck, on the other hand, is fantastic!

Fishes and Swords
Wishiwashi Solo and School forms, as well as both Aegislash forms, were also seen, as was Lycanrock Dusk Form:

Necrozma and Marshadow
The big ones are finally here. Necrozma and, oh my goodness, Marshadow! Mudbray and Mudsdale, Drampa, Pyukumuku, Cetoddle, and Cetitan were among the first super rare Pokémon discovered. There is a problem with shiny Necrozma, since it should be blue rather than black.
Missing Mega Pokémon
But the list doesn’t end there, as we discovered assets for all missing Mega Pokémon! With this update, all of the Mega Pokémon assets have been added to the game, which means Niantic may release them whenever they want, without any additional preparation. The following Pokémon have had their assets discovered:
- Mega Mewtwo Y
- Mega Mewtwo X
- Mega Metagross
- Mega Sharpedo
- Mega Mawile
- Mega Audino
- Mega Camerupt
- Mega Lucario
Hello from the Hisui Region
Finally, but not least, we have assets for some of the most fascinating Pokémon from the Hisui Region:
Dialga and Palkia are derived from Wyrdeer Hisuian Samurott, Decidueye, and Typhlosion.
All of these Pokémon were found in the Hisui Region, which first appeared in the Pokémon Legends: Arceus game.
